Privacy Policy
How SynaFox collects, uses, protects, and shares information across our website and platform.
Effective July 31, 2026
01Overview
SynaFox builds predictive operations software for energy and industrial infrastructure. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website and platform, why we collect it, how we handle it, and the choices available to you.
We work with operators of critical infrastructure, so we treat data handling as an engineering discipline rather than a formality. Where our commitments to a customer under a signed agreement are stricter than this policy, that agreement governs.
02Information We Collect
Information you provide directly. When you request a demo, contact us, apply for a role, or correspond with our team, you may provide your name, business email address, phone number, company, job title, and the details of your inquiry, including information about your facilities or operational challenges.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, our hosting provider and analytics tooling may record your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. This information is used to keep the site secure and to understand which content is useful.
Customer platform data. When a customer deploys the SynaFox platform, the platform processes operational and telemetry data supplied by or on behalf of that customer, such as sensor readings, SCADA and historian records, asset configurations, and simulation inputs and outputs. We process this data as a service provider on the customer’s instructions and under the terms of the applicable customer agreement.
03How We Use Information
We use the information described above to respond to inquiries and schedule demonstrations; to provide, operate, secure, and improve our website and platform; to communicate about products, pilots, and service matters; to evaluate candidates who apply to work with us; to produce aggregated, de-identified analytics about how our content and product are used; and to comply with legal, contractual, and security obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use customer operational data to train models for other customers unless that customer has explicitly agreed in writing.
04Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies support core functions such as page delivery, caching, and security. Analytics cookies help us measure traffic and content performance in aggregate.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the site to stop working correctly.
05How We Share Information
We share information only where necessary and under appropriate safeguards. Service providers who support our operations, including hosting, email delivery, scheduling, analytics, and customer relationship management, may process information on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, subpoena, or other valid legal process; where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of SynaFox, our customers, or the public; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will continue to protect information consistent with this policy.
06Data Security
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encryption of data in transit, access controls and least-privilege provisioning, logging and monitoring, and periodic review of our security practices.
The SynaFox platform supports hybrid deployments, including local-native and edge configurations, so that sensitive operational data can remain within a customer’s own environment where required. Enterprise deployments can be configured to meet additional regulatory or security review requirements.
No system is completely secure. If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal information, we will respond according to our incident response procedures and notify affected parties as required by applicable law or contract.
07Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to maintain business records, and to comply with legal and contractual obligations. Demo and inquiry records are retained for the duration of the commercial relationship and a reasonable period afterward. Customer platform data is retained according to the terms of the applicable customer agreement and deleted or returned on request at the end of that agreement.
08Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, to object to or restrict certain processing, to request a portable copy, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Where we process data on behalf of a customer, we will refer your request to that customer as the controller of the data.
09International Transfers
SynaFox is based in the United States, and information we collect may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate transfer mechanisms and contractual protections for information transferred across borders.
10Children’s Privacy
Our website and platform are intended for business use and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our products, practices, or legal obligations change. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through our website or, where appropriate, directly to affected customers.
12Contact Us
Questions about this policy or about how we handle information can be submitted through our Request a Demo page. We aim to respond to privacy inquiries within five business days.
